The Woman Who Fell to the Moon

I admit it freely, I have come to love movie making. And now I can even edit!

Here I am, taking a bit of time off in the Privateer Space sim. A beyond fantastic sim, truly one of the great wonders of the SL world. Hopefully, this video will encourage you to make the pilgrimage (BTW, the other night, Venus opened. A PROPER Venus, all swampy and hot. Hopefully with a few dinosaurs soon!)

P.S. I am happily surrounded by fellow geeks in Second Life, so I put it to the general audience--do you recognize the implicit reference in my outfit? Hint: the same movie is referenced elsewhere in this clip. There is a free flying Steampiggy for the first person to guess correctly here :)

Hmmm, could the outfit be a reference to a Pan Am Moon-shuttle stewardess from 2001: A Space Odyssey?

There were so few shots of women in that movie...but I'm sure we're quite plentiful in 2001 and beyond ;)

Good Lord! First try, even. It's made a tad more obscure by the fact that the outfit is actually not the one from the movie, but a contemporary flight attendant's uniform of the time (which looked tres snazzy:http://www.uniformfreak.com/index2a.html)

I should have know my fellow geeks would not have let me down :D One Steam Pig headed your way, ma'am!

Hey, Vee, how did you do the title at the beginning? I LOOOOOVE that!

Now that I have MovieMaker, it's simpler than cake mix.

Add Title, title animation, then select "Scroll Perspective".

I really wish I could play more with this this weekend, but I've a bit of a backlog of SL work with vendors. But it's amazing, I've already more than a few "silent movie" shorts I wish to do.
